About Us

Hudson Valley Jewish Voice for Peace has been an active chapter of national JVP since 2016. Pre-Covid, we held monthly meetings with a potluck but now meet on ZOOM the 3rd Monday of the month at 7pm with our sister organization, MidEast Crisis Response.  For more details about meetings, book club, etc, email us:  https://jewishvoiceforpeace.org/

We've proudly sponsored and co-sponsored multiple major public events including our annual Anti-Islamophobia/Racism Vigil, "Hearing the Voices of Muslim Women", & currently we are collaborating with local progressives to sponsor Zoom Events - (see our posts for current events).

We remain steadfast in our efforts to end the Israeli occupation of Palestine, security and self-determination for Israelis & Palestinians, a just solution for Palestinian refugees based on principles established in international law, an end to violence against civilian, and peace and justice for all peoples of the middle east.

We welcome all who support out message of anti-Jewish bigotry, anti-Islamophobia, anti-racism, and in support of Human Rights and justice for all immigrants and refugees.

Among other ongoing group activities, we have launched a book club for our members to learn more about the history and current conflict in Israel/Palestine. We're fortunate to have Israeli and Palestinian members who bring their personal experiences into our discussions.

We recognize the intersection of apartheid in Palestine and other movements against white supremacy.  We have expanded our efforts as a chapter by joining other anti-racist movements. We seek ways to partner with other local activists and organizations, including Citizen Action of the Hudson Valley, Ulster Immigrant Defense Network, Real Kingston Tenants Union, among others.
