Get Involved

Join Our Chapter!

Our Hudson Valley JVP chapter has monthly meetings — a great opportunity to meet like-minded people and get a closer look at our working groups. JVP welcomes people of all denominations and secular worldviews. We used to start with a pot luck brunch, followed by discussions about important issues and brief reports by our working groups. We now meet on ZOOM the 3rd Monday of the month at 7pm. Newcomers can learn ways they might be involved with projects or committees. Several of us participate in a book club in order to expand our knowledge about the history and current conditions in Israel/Palestine. We are fortunate to have both Israeli and Palestinian-born members in our group who share their first-hand personal experiences. We also plan public events to raise awareness of our mission and reach out to our legislators to present our viewpoints on issues relating to Israel/Palestine.
Email us:   hudsonvalley@jewishvoiceforpeace.org  to learn more and to join our next meeting.

We invite you to join us!  We are non-dinominational and eager to grow our movement.  We feel that the Israel/Palestine conflict is a global threat.  Born out of the virilant anti-semitism of 19th Century Europe, Zionists hoped to find a safe place for Jews to live.  Unfortunately, Jews and the indigenous Palestinians can't say, after 70 years, that they are safe. Violence is NOT the answer, but the United States pledges to give the Israeli government 3.8 billion a year for the next 10 years (the most foreign aid to any country) to buy and make more advanced weapons for war and occupation.

JVP supports the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement:

"The BDS movement was launched by 170 Palestinian unions, political parties, refugee networks, women’s organisations, professional associations, popular resistance committees and other Palestinian civil society bodies."
