For everyone who has expressed interest in getting involved with SJP or learning more about Palestine, we ask that you attend Nathan Thrall and Abed Salama’s conversation about Thrall’s new book, A Day in the Life of Abed Salama: Anatomy of a Jerusalem Tragedy (Tuesday 10/24 5:15 RKC 103)
Thrall was a visiting professor at Bard last spring and taught “Apartheid in Israel/Palestine”, a course that had a profound impact on numerous members of SJP. Professor Thrall’s syllabus armed us with the knowledge and resources necessary to articulate our movement for Palestinian liberation – It is his course that SJP demands be taught annually at Bard College.Large attendance will also support our efforts to meet one of SJP's demands that "Apartheid in Israel/Palestine" be taught annually at Bard and that students care enough to learn wherever opportunities are provided.
